The sixth exhibition of 1881
2 April - 01 May 1881 - 35, boulevard des Capucines, in a Nadar's workshop dependency - Paris The sixth exhibition marked the important presence of Edgar Degas, given the absence of many founders. The entire exhibition reflected Degas' taste in the presences and paintings on display. Indeed, the artist proposed a broader vision of Impressionism that was open to different interpretations. In Nadar's former studio, 13 artists occupied five rooms with 170 works. The most successful work was Edgar Degas' Little Dancer of Fourteen (Petite danseuse de quatorze ans) from around 1881, which proposed a new approach to sculpture.
